What We Collect

Style Grammar collects only the information necessary to deliver your style results:

  • Quiz answers — your responses to the style quiz, used to generate your personalized results. Quiz data is processed in your browser and sent to our AI provider for generation. It is not stored on our servers after your session ends.
  • Email address — collected only if you purchase the paid report, via our payment processor. Used solely to deliver your report.
  • Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

How We Use Your Data

Your quiz answers are used to generate a personalized style narrative powered by AI. If you purchase the paid tier, your email is used to deliver your report. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build user profiles beyond what is needed for your session.

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate Style Grammar:

  • Stripe — payment processing. Stripe collects and processes payment information under its own privacy policy.
  • Resend — email delivery for paid reports.
  • Anthropic — AI generation of your style narrative. Quiz answers are sent to Anthropic's API for processing and are subject to Anthropic's privacy policy. Anthropic does not use API inputs for model training.
  • Vercel — hosting and serverless infrastructure.
  • Plausible — privacy-focused, cookieless website analytics. No personal data is collected.

Cookies

Style Grammar does not use cookies. Our analytics provider (Plausible) is cookieless and does not track individual users.

Data Retention

Quiz answers are processed in real time and are not persistently stored on our servers. Paid report data (email, generated narrative) is retained for the purpose of order fulfillment and support. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

Your Rights — CCPA (California)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

  • Right to know — you may request details about the personal information we collect and how it is used.
  • Right to delete — you may request deletion of your personal information.
  • No sale of personal information — we do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Your Rights — GDPR (EU/EEA)

If you are located in the EU or EEA, the following applies:

  • Legal basis for processing — for the paid tier, we process data on the basis of contract performance (delivering the report you purchased). For analytics, we rely on legitimate interest (understanding aggregate usage patterns via cookieless, privacy-respecting analytics).
  • Right to erasure — you may request deletion of any personal data we hold.
  • Data portability — you may request a copy of your data in a portable format.
